John follows most sports but is a particularly keen follower of Welsh rugby region the Ospreys and is a regular at the Millennium Stadium to watch the national side.
He also enjoys hillwalking and climbing and is a regular runner, having completed the London Marathon on two occasions. When looking for a less physically challenging activity John plays a mean game of chess.
