Lasting Powers of Attorney

What is a Lasting Power of Attorney?

  • A Lasting Power of Attorney (or LPA for short) is a document which allows you to nominate one or more persons you trust to make decisions on your behalf when you no longer wish to, or are not able to, make such decisions due to illness or mental incapacity
  • The decisions can be about your property and financial affairs and/or your personal welfare and medical issues

We advise on all aspects of making an LPA, and we can prepare it for you ensuring it is correctly executed and register it with the Office of the Public Guardian.

If you or a family member have an Enduring Powers of Attorney created before 1st October 2007 we are able to register these.

If you would like to discuss making an LPA please contact Kate Horsey.
