What is a Lasting Power of Attorney?
- A Lasting Power of Attorney (or LPA for short) is a special document which allows you to nominate one or more persons you trust to make decisions on your behalf when you no longer wish, to or are not able, to make such decisions due to illness or mental incapacity
- The decisions can be about your property and financial affairs and/or your personal welfare and medical issues
How we can help you:
We offer different levels of service, depending on our involvement:
- Complete Service:
We advise on all aspects of making an LPA, can prepare it for you, ensure it is correctly executed and register it with the Office of the Public Guardian.
- Registration Service:
We can register the completed LPA with the Office of the Public Guardian.
If you or a family member have the old-style Enduring Powers of Attorney created before 1st October 2007 we are able to register these.
If you would like to discuss making an LPA please contact Rhian Vaughan or complete the enquiry form.
